Hi everyone! The week of March 21st we celebrated our World Language Week here at POB. Our students had the opportunity to engage in different activities all week. Our middle school students had the chance to learn a little Tangos Flamenco from the amazing Susana di Palma, take an art lesson about Picasso and his cubist style of art, make Eifel Towers out spaghetti and marshmallows, learn all about families from the "familia encantada Madrigal" and more. Our high school world language honor society students treated us to a different World Language table each day. Our high school students learned to write in Chinese characters, write messages in Italian, answer trivia questions about all things French and Spanish, and learn a little ASL.
I'm grateful to all our teachers and administrators that supported us and helped make this week a special one. I hope that our students had fun doing something a little different and learning a little something new. We can't wait for next year's World Language Week, and I can't wait to see how we are going to top this year's event.
