Toussaint at Plainview-Old Bethpage and Mattlin Middle Schools
La Toussaint, or All Saint's Day, is celebrated in France on November 1st. French families would typically visit a cemetery on that day to pay their respects to family members who have passed away. 7th and 8th-grade French students at POB MS and Mattlin MS participated in this tradition through a project in which they honored the lives of famous French people. Each student chose a famous French person, did research about him or her, and then prepared a poster. They were displayed in the hallway to create a French cemetery. Students of French completed a scavenger hunt, using the information on each poster to answer questions about the famous French people displayed.
