    “We don’t know them all, but we owe them all.” This anonymous quote speaks to the mission of the students and staff at Judy Jacobs-Parkway School as they celebrated another Veterans’ Day. On November 13, 2018, Judy Jacobs-Parkway students hosted local veterans in their classrooms.

    There are 8 seasoned players from last year’s Boys’ Volleyball team that went 12-6 and made it to the semifinals of the Nassau County playoffs. The Hawks wanted more this year, so they entered the 2018 season with high expectations and lofty goals. The Hawks steamrolled through the regular season and showed us what it means to be Plainview Perfect. They went undefeated (14-0) this season to claim their 17th Conference Championship in the process.

    Last week, POBMS celebrated Unity Day as a reminder that they were united against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion. In support of this day, students and staff were encouraged to wear ORANGE. All week, students participated in fun MAP activities and creating their chain of messages, leading up to Unity Day Project Connect.

    With thunderous drums, crashing cymbals and blazing horns, the Marching Band of Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School marched on to Mitchell Field to amaze the spectators at this year’s Newsday Marching Band Festival.

    The spirit was alive during PRIDE Week at Mattlin Middle School as the students celebrated with unusual energy and excitement throughout their school. They participated in activities that captured Mattlin PRIDE and helped build leadership and teamwork skills.
