Fall 2017 Class DescriptionsBefore registering for 4th R Classes, please see the General Information page which provides the program's policy information on the registration, late pick-ups, and other topics.Classes:Bricks 4 KidzThis is a hands-on class through the Bricks 4 Kidz program where students will design and build machines, buildings and other constructions using LEGO® bricks. While exploring new concepts related to architecture, engineering, manufacturing, the environment, etc., students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. Please note, students do not get to keep or take home LEGO® projects. There is a minimum of 10 students required to run this class with a maximum of 20 students. Cost of this class is: $99.
Our array of proprietary island themes are each cross-curricular by design. ELA – Science – Math – History – Social Studies – Engineering – Arts – Geography – Technology – Socio-Emotional – 21st C. Skills. When kids enter the Challenge Island classroom, they are transported to a learning environment worlds away from the regular school experience. The ambience feels positively party-like as our adventurous tribes tackle high-level thinking challenges at whimsical weekly destinations like Anaconda Squeeze (Rainforest Island), Minotaur’s Labyrinth (Mythology Island) and Wicked Witch Twist (Hollywood Island). Our Karate-Kids program is a one of a kind program that was developed to introduce Martial Arts in a FUN and age appropriate way. Our students work on listening, cooperation, balance, safety and beginning Martial Arts skills while being challenged and encouraged to succeed. Come join the FUN! LilChefs.com Special Events designed these "Cooking With Stars" classes to inspire budding chefs to create a delicious recipe each week celebrating a new food holiday or theme. Li'l chefs will bring home their dishes to share with their family. More than just learning to cook, they will learn about food hygiene, mathematics of measuring, food chemistry, teamwork, communication, plus the featured tool of the week. Students receive a chef hat & apron and all recipes are posted online with photos and step-by-step instructions. There is a minimum of 10 students required to run this class with a maximum of 20 students. Cost of this class is: $120.Mad ScienceA fun exploration into science and technology, while learning through hands-on experience through the Mad Science program. Students take home their science experiment every week. This class is open for all students. There is a minimum of 10 students to run this classes with a maximum of 20 students in each class. Cost of this class is: $120.YOGALinda Morales has combined her love for yoga and children by teaching Children’s Yoga. Yoga teaches children focus, strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, confidence, self-esteem, and so much more. Her children’s yoga class will provide fun-filled music, games, activities, breathing exercises, visualization techniques, yoga poses, relaxation and more. The class will help stimulate children’s senses as well as stretch and strengthen their bodies. Her unique style incorporates a lot of fun into each class, while encouraging kids to find their inner-peace.
