Hi everyone! I teach 5th and 6th Grade Band here at Mattlin Middle School, as well as the Jazz Lab Band at the High School.

As a professional musician, I am well-versed in a variety of styles including classical, jazz, salsa, pop, and music theater. Locally, I've performed with the South Shore Symphony Orchestra, North Shore Symphony Orchestra, North Shore Music Festival, served as a brass coach with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, and I actively freelance as a church and pit orchestra musician.

As an educator, I have taught instrumental and general music to all grades K-12 in suburban, urban, and rural districts. My philosophy is that to study music is to study oneself. As musicians we are always challenging ourselves to play more accurately, more beautifully, and above all more meaningfully. My goal for the students here at Mattlin is for them to discover a new side of themselves and to realize that they are capable of achieving anything they put their minds to, both as individuals and as ensembles.

For parents, my goal is to create open and easy communication. I understand the hectic schedules of families, and I know that convenience is key. This website, while still a work in progress, will contain everything you need to stay informed and be involved in our musical family!
