Mr. Lieberman’s CLASSROOM GUIDELINES
- Follow all rules as outlined in your student handbook.
- Absolutely no food or drink is allowed in the classroom unless an agreement is made with the teacher.
- Respect your workstations (i.e. computer equipment, textbooks, desk, chairs, etc.).
- Do not talk, unless the teacher has recognized you. In order to be recognized, raise your hand and wait to be called upon. Continually disrupting the class WILL adversely affect your grade.
- No use of handheld electronic devices during the class period unless permission is granted by the teacher.
CLASSROOM POLICIES:
- PASSES will be limited to five (5) per marking period regardless of the reason (i.e. bathroom, locker, etc.). *Special medical exceptions will be accommodated*
- Students are expected to be PROMPT, which means at their computer WHEN the bell rings. Consequences for lateness will be consistent with the DISTRICT POLICY. In addition, repeated lateness WILL also adversely affect the student’s grade.
- Students are expected to be PREPARED, which means having a positive attitude as well as any necessary materials (i.e. pen/pencils, notebook, etc.) available at all times. Students are expected to be POLITE, which means that they show respect to the computers, their classmates, their teacher, and themselves. The use of slang words is prohibited.
- Students are expected to be PRODUCTIVE, which means that they are doing what is expected of them, when it is expected of them. Use of the Internet is not permitted without teacher approval when using a computer classroom. Students who are caught using the Internet run the risk of having their grade adversely affected.
- Students who miss a class for any reason (illness, lessons, etc.) are NOT excused from that day’s work. They will be given five (5) school days to make up the work. Extra help will be available at least once a week. Failure to make up missed assignments WILL adversely affect the student’s grade.
