Brain Pop features approximately 600 brief animated movies on various topics in subjects like science, social studies, math, English, health, arts and music, and technology. Each movie is supported by additional activities related to the selected subject, such as an experiment, quiz, comic strip, timeline, or printable activities. An interactive State Standards Tool is also available for selecting the movie that corresponds with the K-8 standard that you are teaching.

Grolier Online provides access to 8 different encyclopedias, perfect for all grade levels, as well as a featured showcase, featured stories, an international news desk, and more.  The elementary encyclopedias include: The New Book of Knowledge, Amazing Animals of the World, and America the Beautiful. 

PebbleGo is an animal database that presents information on more than 200 animals in a format suited to meet the needs of emergent readers.  The home page features a search box on the top right of the page.  As you type in the letters of your search term, a drop-down menu appears featuring all the subjects that begin with those letters.  Each subject entry presents information arranged in five categories: Body, Habitat, Food, Life Cycle, and Fun Facts.  Photographs, and Watch and Listen tabs, accompanying many of the entries, offer still and live-action video and sounds.
