Plainview-Old Bethpage Begins the 2025-2026 School Year with Facilities Upgrades

The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District welcomed students and staff back to kick off the new academic year with several districtwide initiatives along with major facility improvements. 

Highlights include HVAC and stage lighting upgrades and exterior enhancements at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School, bathroom renovations and boiler updates at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School, ceiling and lighting improvements at Mattlin Middle School and a redesigned parking lot at Stratford Road Elementary School.

“Our schools are vibrant spaces where curiosity, creativity and community thrive,” Assistant Superintendent for Business Dr. Christopher Dillon said. “With buildings that are upgraded, more comfortable, and more modern, POB provides an environment where students can look forward to a school year full of learning, achievements and exciting possibilities.”

The District’s facility upgrades are expected to be completed in the coming weeks, adding to a series of improvements already underway throughout the District. The Plainview-Old Bethpage community looks forward to a year filled with engagement, improved facilities, and meaningful experiences for all
