Plainview-Old Bethpage School District recognized as one of the Best Communities for Music Education for 11th time

The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District has been named one of the Best Communities for Music Education for the 2025-26 school year by the NAMM Foundation, marking the 11th time the District has received the honor.

The NAMM Foundation, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the National Association of Music Merchants, bases the designation on several factors, including student participation, instructional time, graduation requirements, facilities, community involvement and overall support for music education. The recognition highlights school districts nationwide that demonstrate a sustained, districtwide commitment to providing high-quality music education opportunities for students.

A total of 1,008 districts across the country received the designation this year, highlighting the importance of music education as part of a well-rounded academic program and its impact on student development.

This achievement reflects the continued efforts of the District’s music educators, administrators, students, families and community members who work together to strengthen and sustain music programs. The District is grateful for their support in continuing to ensure students have access to meaningful music learning experiences.
