Plainview-Old Bethpage School District Holds Annual Tenure Recognition Ceremony

On May 5, the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District hosted its annual tenure ceremony, recognizing 27 teachers and administrators for their hard work and dedication in earning tenure.

The ceremony opened with remarks from Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Safety Chris Donnarummo. “This accomplishment reflects years of hard work and continuous growth,” he said. “You make a meaningful impact in our classrooms and across the community.”

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mary O’Meara and Board of Education Vice President Gary Bettan followed, speaking about the importance of teaching, its lasting impact on students and their excitement to see how these educators will continue to shape young minds.

The District’s principals and administrators then shared remarks about each staff member from their respective buildings before inviting them to be recognized. Congratulations to the following educators and faculty members:

The ceremony concluded with remarks from Nina Melzer, president of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Teachers Association, who congratulated the newly tenured staff. The District extends its congratulations to these educators and looks forward to their continued success in the years ahead.
