Plainview-Old Bethpage and Mattlin Middle Schools celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4–8 with themed activities, staff surprises and special events honoring faculty and staff. Throughout the week, staff members participated in fun spirit days and enjoyed treats, games, singalongs and PTA-sponsored luncheons.

Highlights from the week included raffles for prizes such as reserved parking spots, gift cards and a DoorDashed lunch. POBMS’s daily singing game in the lobby and Mattlin’s annual teacher and staff Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament, have become part of Teacher Appreciation Week’s fun traditions.

The District is grateful for the hard work and dedication of its teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week and throughout the year. Thank you to the Mattlin and POBMS PTAs for helping to make the week special.
