Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School Class of 2026 Honored at Academic and Scholarship Award Night

On June 8, Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School hosted its annual Academic Awards and Community Scholarships Ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating Class of 2026.

The evening began with the academic awards portion, during which more than 170 seniors were recognized for excellence across a wide range of subjects, including art, business, technology, English, science, mathematics and computer science, health, physical education, research, social studies, family and consumer sciences, music and world languages. The awards highlighted both individual course achievements and four-year distinctions in specialized areas of study.

The program then transitioned to the community scholarships portion of the evening, where more than 60 scholarships and awards were presented. These included the PTA Scholarship, Stacy’s Warriors Scholarship, New York State Senate Citizenship Award, Plainview Hospital Medical Scholarship, SCOPE Education Services Scholarship, Tri-M Music Honor Society Awards and the Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, along with numerous awards established in memory of community members. These honors recognized student achievement in academics, the arts, athletics, leadership and community service.

The District would like to thank Director of Guidance Ms. Laurie Lynn and the entire Guidance Department for organizing a memorable and meaningful event celebrating the hard work and bright futures of POB’s graduating seniors.
