Celebrating excellence and leadership across our district!

Three women stand in a room with dark wood paneling and chairs, one holding a bouquet of flowers, while a framed picture hangs on the wall behind them.

During a special ceremony held on May 21, Lisa Markowicz-Abel, chairperson of the district’s Title IX Committee, proudly presented Dorothy Drexel, Assistant Principal at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School, with the prestigious Yves LeMay/Diana Watson Obey Award, and John F. Kennedy High School senior Ariana Mascarelli with the Linda Markowicz Award. These honors recognize individuals who exemplify integrity, advocacy, and a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive school community. Congratulations to these exceptional recipients on this well-deserved recognition!
