The Plainview-Old Bethpage Technology Education program is designed to reach all students and offer a broad range of experiences and activities. Students are exposed to creative opportunities across various technological mediums and areas of interest, enriched further with state-of-the-art equipment and industry-standard programming. The Technology Education program is an integral part of the K–12 interdisciplinary curriculum and plays a significant role in community activities as well.

POB Technology Education Flow Chart (Grades 7-12)

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s Technology Education Flow Chart provides a clear pathway for students in grades 7 through 12 to explore and advance in the world of technology. Designed to guide students through a comprehensive and progressive curriculum, the flow chart ensures a well-rounded education in various areas of technology, from design and engineering to coding and robotics.

Starting in grade 7, students are introduced to foundational skills and concepts, and as they move through high school, they have opportunities to specialize and deepen their knowledge in specific areas of interest. The flow chart highlights key courses and electives, helping students make informed decisions about their academic journey and future career paths in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

The progression from introductory courses to more advanced studies fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on learning experiences. With this structured pathway, students are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in college, career, and beyond, whether they choose to pursue engineering, computer science, architecture, or any other technology-driven field.

Technology Remedial Schedule

TECHNOLOGY REMEDIAL SCHEDULE

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is committed to supporting our students’ success in technology and STEM-related subjects. The POB Technology Remedial Schedule offers targeted support for students who may need additional assistance or are looking to strengthen their skills in technology-based coursework.

This schedule provides dedicated time for students to work closely with teachers and tutors, focusing on key concepts, skills, and areas where they may need extra help. Whether it's revisiting coding concepts, refining digital design skills, or improving overall technological proficiency, the remedial sessions are designed to support individual learning needs.

Students are encouraged to take full advantage of these sessions to enhance their understanding, boost their confidence, and excel in their technology classes. Together, we will ensure that every student has the resources they need to succeed in the ever-evolving world of technology!

POBOTS

Welcome to the Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD POBots Teams!

The POBots Teams are a dynamic group of students from the Plainview-Old Bethpage school community who are passionate about robotics, engineering, and technology. Part of the district’s commitment to fostering innovation and creativity, the POBots participate in various robotics competitions, building and programming robots to solve challenges and showcase their skills.

These teams are more than just about robots—they encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking, while inspiring students to explore careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Whether it's designing and coding a robot or working collaboratively on a project, the POBots experience fosters growth and learning in a supportive and competitive environment.
