flip folderUSEFUL INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTSStudents must wear all black sneakers or shoes for all marching band performances. Sneakers with other colors in addition to black are not acceptable. All band members will wear marching band uniforms as well.
THE FESTIVAL IS NOT AT HOFSTRA THIS YEAR, IT’S AT THE MITCHELL ATHLETIC COMPLEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You must bring dinner with you to the festival as we are not allowed to go to the side of the stands where the food vendors are.
We will meet in the band room at 4:00, rehearse, and then load the buses to leave at 5:00. If your parents are chaperoning, please ask them to meet me in the band room at 5:00.
If you are meeting us at Mitchell Field after a sporting event you will need to be in your uniform to get into the stadium.
You will need your uniform and BLACK SHOES!!!!!!!!!! Dress shoes are fine.
We will be in uniform the whole night, but you may wear a coat over the uniform when we are in the stands. You should wear enough under the uniform so that you are not too cold while we are warming up and performing. (about 45 minutes both times) Check the weather and dress for your own comfort! The forecast as of Monday AM is 60-70 degrees and no rain.
The festival begins at 7. We are the 6th of 15 bands.
Remind your parents to sit as high in the stands as they can and not to worry about being centered.
Everyone must come home with us on the school buses. There are no exceptions to this rule which is for safety and security reasons.
