10/23/14
-Today Ms. Tellone will be hosting her first Tech Workshop, Period 9 in the Library on How to Create a Prezi - all are welcome!
-Attention All Student Council Members who will be attending Homecoming on Saturday:  Please wear a POBMS shirt or Student Council Shirt!!  See you Saturday @ 1 PM at the High School. 
-Attention POB students and staff:  The Leo Club is having a food drive until November 20th.  Please bring in any non-perishable food and leave it in the barrel located in the Main Lobby.  All the food that is collected will be donated to families on Long Island. Thank you.
-The 5th and 6th grade Halloween party is this Friday!  The goblins are haunting and the monsters will be mashing.  It's time for the Halloween bash!  Come down for some fun!  7 - 9 with a DJ and snacks. 
-Kids Connection will be meeting on Friday, October 24th during 9th period in Mrs. Rubin's classroom.  If you are interested in Making new friends, playing games, and socializing with others, please come to room 322 on Friday, October 24th.  We hope to see you there!  
-Good Morning POB!  Just a friendly reminder to come on down to Room 211 to guess the weight and number of seeds in our great pumpkin.  The person closest to the number will win.  Winners will be announced on Friday, October 31st - Halloween.  Remember, you've got to be in it to win it.

-Mr. Poplawski's Art Club meeting for October 23rd in Room 225 has been cancelled.  Please listen to an announcement for rescheduled date.

-There will be a short Information Meeting for  all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls interested in trying out for Winter I Sports on Wednesday, October 22, at 3:20 in the gym.  Winter I sports are:  7/8 grade Boys' Basketball, 7/8 grade Girls' Volleyball, Cheerleading and District Boys' Swimming.

-All students report to the Auditorium for Rec today.  It's our Spirit Card Kick Off Event!
-The Reading, Writing and Film Club have their last bake sale today!!!  Come support.
-There will be a New Book Group meeting, period 9 today in the Library.  AND.....This Thursday, Ms. Tellone will be hosting the first Technology Workshop on How to Create a Prezi - Period 9 in the Library.

-Trumpet seating auditions for Jazz Club today, 9th period.

-Today is picture day for Grades 5 and 6.  If you still have your envelope, bring it with you to the Auditorium.  Even if you are not buying pictures, you have to get your picture taken.  
-Tomorrow is picture day for Grades 7 and 8.

-Attention 5/6 Chorus - Part 2's meet tomorrow zero period.  All 6th graders singing for the Vets breakfast should meet tomorrow during Rec.

-The next Stock Market meeting is this Friday, October 17th.  Usernames and passwords for the game will be distributed and we will begin making purchases and investments at that time.
-Attention all School Store workers:  The schedule for Week 1 and Week 2 are now up.  Stop by the store to see which week you will be working.  This current week is week 2.  Any questions, please see Mr. O'Sullivan. 
-Attention 5/6 Chorus - Part 1's meet tomorrow morning zero period.  Any 6th grade chorus member who would like to sing for the Vets Tea should come to Mrs. McCumiskey's room during rec today. 
-Prizes for Cookie Dough/Magazine Fundraiser will be given out October 20th during lunch periods.  Anyone missing prizes from this past Wednesday will get them on the 20th.  If you've finished selling, give your completed form with money to your MAP teacher.
