4/20/15
So you think you've got talent?  If you are interested in trying out for the POBMS Talent Show, please check the flyers posted around the school for audition dates, times and room numbers.  Auditions begin next week on Monday, April 27th.
-Attention 5/6 Chorus - Part 2's meet tomorrow zero period.  
-To All School Store Workers - This is week 1.  If you are scheduled to work week 1, please arrive on time.  If you cannot make your shift or have any questions, please see Mr. O'Sullivan.
-Attention All Debate Club Members - The Debate Club will not meet this week due to the Math Assessment.  We will hold our next meeting on Wednesday, April 29th during zero period in Room 316.  All members must attend as we hold out second Debate about 6th graders playing on 7th and 8th grade sports teams.

-Final Yearbook meeting will be held today during 9th period.  See you there!
April is Jazz Appreciation Month.  Jazz, born in America, is celebrated worldwide.  Your Jazz Club carries on the tradition.  Rhythm Sectional this afternoon, 9th period.
-Girls 7th and 8th tennis practice will be indoors from 3:50 - 4:30 today.
-Kids Connection will be meeting on Friday, April 17th, during ninth period in Mrs. Rubin's classroom.  If you are interested in making new friends, playing games, and socializing with others, please come to room 322 on Friday, April 17th.  We hope to
see you there. 
-There will be NO Math Olympiads today.  Our meeting will be rescheduled for next Friday, April 24th, during 9th period.  See you there! 
Next Wednesday, April 22nd is Earth Day.  Did you know that the average middle school produces 67 pounds of trash each day?  And 40,000 pounds a year? Gross.  On Earth Day we would like to participate in a "No-Waste Day"  Bring in your l lunch with reusable containers in an effort to minimize waste.  As a challenge, we will weigh the garbage on Tuesday and Wednesday and see if  POB can reduce its waste.

-The POB JFK Wrestling Program will be hosting Open Mats.  Come and learn how to wrestle from collegiate, All County, ad world team level coaches.  Training will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at MMS from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.  All students are welcomed to attend at no charge.
