A Message from Ms. Talento

 Ms. Talento
Dear Howard B. Mattlin Middle School Students and Families,

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal for Grades 5 and 7 at Howard B. Mattlin Middle School. I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to become a part of the Mattlin community and look forward to the start of what promises to be an exciting school year.

Middle school is a most special time in a child’s life.  Foundations are created and memories made that our children will carry with them into their future relationships and experiences.  The teaching staff at Mattlin takes pride in providing our students with a rigorous academic program that will help to prepare our students for the future challenges of high school and college.  In addition, our students are encouraged to participate in a numerous selection of extracurricular activities that will contribute to the enhancement of their social and emotional development.

Ongoing communication with all members of the school community is essential for the establishment of an environment that ensures high expectations, academic and emotional support and a nurturing atmosphere that encourages our students to realize their full potential.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions or concerns as we work together in the best interests of all of our students.
