Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District Spreads Holiday Cheer at Cohen's Children's Medical Center
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District recently organized an activity for fifth grade students from Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School to create artwork to be included in gift bags donated to patients at the Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center. The gifts were created to spread holiday cheer to sick children who will be spending the holidays in the hospital instead of celebrating at home with their families and loved ones.
The students assembled gift bags, which included a box of crayons or markers, a coloring book, a pack of stickers, a puzzle book and a sketch book. The gifts will be distributed to the children over the holidays.
In addition, all grade-levels at Plainview-Old Bethpage Howard B. Mattlin Middle School contributed donations to a toy drive. The toy drive was sponsored by The Afterschool Group (TAG), an after-school philanthropic program, which had its largest toy-drive success since its inception.
A special thank you to all students and their teachers for continuing this important and beloved tradition during this time of year.
