Students Explore the History and Culture of Boston
on School Trip
Students at Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School had the chance to discover the many historical and scientific lessons Boston, MA has to offer. Students took in the culture while touring some of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods and visiting some of its many museums. The trip also included trying local cuisine including New England clam chowder, eating at the Hard Rock Café and participating in a gameshow/dance party.
During the trip, students followed Boston’s Freedom Trail, stopping at Paul Revere’s House, exploring the historic North End, Faneuil Hall and the State House before eating in famous Quincy Market. Students also observed sea lions, seals, sea turtles and hundreds of other fish at the New England Aquarium, explored the nautical side of Boston on a Duck Tour and visited the Boston Museum of Science. The trip was coordinated by teacher Ms. Ali Glassman and chaperoned by teachers Ms. Agunzo, Ms. Boddy, Ms. Bowden, Ms. Charletta, Ms. Coakley, Ms. A. Gentile, Ms. J. Gentile, Ms. Goldstein, Mr. Lombardo, Ms. McCarroll, Ms. Ok, Mr. Ritter and Ms. Sgroi.
Students at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School followed the Freedom Trail during a trip to Boston, MA to explore the city’s history. The students stopped at a Paul Revere monument in addition to Paul Revere’s House, the North End, Faneuil Hall, the State House and Quincy Market.
Students at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School visited Faneuil Hall, posed in front of the monument to legendary Boston Celtic coach Red Auerbach, and had lunch at famous Quincy Market during a tour of the history and culture of Boston, MA. The students were able to try some historical favorites such as New England clam chowder and Boston cream pie.
Students at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School explored the nautical side of Boston, MA on a Duck Tour and by visiting the New England Aquarium. The trip aimed to provide an educational experience the students would never forget.
