The=20 major goal of our English Language Arts program continues to be the = enjoyment=20 and appreciation of reading and writing. Physical=20 Education

The = Plainview-Old=20 Bethpage physical education = curriculum=20 will foster the development of the whole child in conjunction with the = three New=20 York State Standards. Physical education at the 6^th grade = level will=20 provide a foundation for future development and exploration within a = wide range=20 of activities including exposure to team sports and life time activities = which=20 promote children becoming exercisers for life. To that end students will = be=20 introduced to the necessary knowledge and skills to build a foundation = to=20 establish and maintain physical fitness, participate in physical = activity, and=20 maintain personal health.
