Summer Reading Challenge
Why is summer reading so important?
Although school is over for the year, it is important to encourage your child to read daily. Summer reading provides a great way for your child to learn new things, explore topics of interest, and feed their curiosity over the vacation months. It also has been shown to help maintain reading skills learned during the school year, increase vocabulary and reading fluency.
As a district, we have developed our Summer Reading Challenge to encourage reading over the vacation. Is your child up for the challenge?
