Physical Education Grading Change Update: We are continuing to gather input on the PE grading rubric and course offerings. The response has been brisk and there is much information to review, subsequently we are delaying the implementation of the pilot program scheduled for February 2012. There will not be any changes in curriculum or grading in the Spring term until the project review is completed. Notification of any change in status will be announced at the appropriate time. September 27, 2011 Dear Parent/Guardian: There will be no change in Pass/Fail grading this school year for physical education at John F. Kennedy High School. All grading this year will remain as it has been in the past and no numerical grades will be issued. The concerns about changes in grading policy are unfounded. Our plan is to continue with the same grading policy while we develop a rubric which will inform students of the expectations and provide clear and concise criteria to pass physical education.
